Lizo Gqoboka set to join Montpellier on a short-term deal

Bulls and Springboks prop Lizo Gqoboka will take off to France after signing a short-term loan deal with Montpellier.

Gqoboka was left out of Rassie Erasmus' World Cup squad that was announced yesterday despite having an outstanding Super Rugby season.

Once at Montpellier, he will join fellow South Africans at the club including former Bulls Jacques du Plessis and Paul Willemse.

The 29-year-old made two appearances off the bench for the Springboks, winning his first cap in the Rugby Championship opener against Australia.
