Springbok hooker Malcomb Marx will be making Kubota Spears his next destination, according to a report in planetrugby.com.
Marx elected to utilise the opportunity given to South African players a number of weeks ago to terminate their existing contracts should they desire to do so.
Marx, who was contracted to the Lions Super Rugby franchise, is no stranger to Japan, having plied his trade with NTT Communications Shining Arcs some time ago.
The 26 year old Marx has cultivated a deserved reputation as one of the top hookers in the world and will be a revered string in the bow of Kubota Spears. He joins the club with a total of 33 Springbok caps and 68 Super Rugby caps to his name.
