McFadden to miss out on Leinster swansong

A recent calf injury means that Ireland international, Fergus McFadden, will miss out on his Leinster finale, according to independent.ie.
The injury has ruled the winger out for six weeks and, as Leinster’s season is expected to conclude by mid-September, it is unlikely that he will don the blue jersey again with his retirement beckoning.

The club has suffered other significant setbacks as well with centre Conor O’Brien and young tighthead prop Vakh Abaladze both undergoing operations for hamstring and back issues respectively.
In addition to these, flanker Dan Leavy will be out of action for the next eighteen months as he recovers from knee surgery.
Leinster’s first fixture back after the hiatus will be against rivals Munster at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
