McInally Extends Edinburgh Contract

Edinburgh have extended the contract of Scotland international hooker Stuart McInally by a further two years.

The 27-year-old joined his home-town team in 2010 and has gone on to make 110 appearances for the club.

After a brief stint in the back row, McInally made the bold switch to the front-row in 2013 and cemented himseld as one of Edinburgh's most consistent performers.

McInally, who scored a brace of tries in his Man of the Match performance for Scotland against Samoa at the weekend, said:

“I’m extremely pleased to be staying in Edinburgh. It’s an exciting time to be part of the team and I feel we have strong foundations in place to move the club forward over the next few years."

Edinburgh Head Coach Richard Cockerill added: “Stuart McInally has been Scotland’s form hooker and I’m delighted that he sees his future in Edinburgh.

“We’re building a strong culture and environment here and Stuart is very much central to those plans.”
