The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua have announced that forwards Vilive Miramira and Mesake Vocevoce have recommitted to the Club until 2027.
Both Flying Fijians have re-signed with the Drua, in a strong vote of confidence for the Club and its forward stocks for the next few seasons of Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
Fijian Drua General Manager Rugby Baden Stephenson said:
“The Club is thrilled to have both Vilive and Mesake recommit to the Drua for a further two seasons. Both players suit the way Super Rugby is being played at the moment as they bring complimentary skills, physicality and athleticism to our team.”
Vilive Miramira has been a foundation player of the Fijian Drua, having been with the Club since its inaugural season in 2022. He has made 36 appearances to date, scoring three tries. His utility in the middle and back row earned him a spot in the 2023 Rugby World Cup with the Flying Fijians, where he made 1 appearance.
The Naivaka, Bua man said
“I’m grateful and blessed to sign again with the Drua for the next few years and it’s a great club, means a lot to me and my family. And I hope to make the club proud and I know the club has got a lot to offer in the future.”
Mesake Vocevoce has made 24 appearances in just two seasons with the Fijian Drua. He has quickly become an integral part of the squad since his debut, featuring regularly in the matchday 23. The young star from Narewa, Nadi was the Pepsi Rookie of the Year at the Year at the Annual Fiji Airways Drua Awards in 2024, and got his first Drua try in last weekend’s win over the Queensland Reds.
Vocevoce has amassed 8 Flying Fijians caps since making his debut against Tonga in 2024.
