Mitre10 Highlights: Auckland v Northland (Round 2)

A fantastic game played by both teams today with Auckland prevailing victorious after beating Northland by 37 points to 15 at home. A game riddled by injuries for Northland with Pryor going off early which didn't help the Northland team but they fought on bravely. Auckland went up early with two tries ahead of half time but then Northland came back later in the first half which made a positive change for the visitors at half time. After half time Auckland let loose with another two tries, one by the big number 8 who marched over the line after a massive pick and go. Northland came back with another try and looked to get back in the game but then Auckland kept on pressure and never looked back with another try to end Northland's hope. A great game and both teams look to do better in the next round of matches, especially Northland.
