Morgan Parra to miss the rest of the Six Nations with knee injury

France scrum-half Morgan Parra will miss the rest of the Six Nations tournament after being ruled out for 4-6 weeks with a knee injury.

Parra has not represented Les Bleus since the 2015 Rugby World Cup, but his impressive form for Clermont Auvergne earned him an international recall under Jacques Brunel.

"Having observed three weeks of complete rest, Parra will have to undergo arthroscopic repair of his knee," said Claremont in a statement.

"The surgical procedure will require a period of unavailability of between four to six weeks."

The 29-year-old has 66 caps for France and was a member of the side that reached the 2011 World Cup final.

France take on Italy in Marseille on February 23, face England at the Stade de France on March 10 and end their campaign in Wales the following week.
