Montpellier wing Timoci Nagusa was allegedly racially abused during Saturday's Top 14 game for the side.
Nagusa was playing in an away fixture against newcomers Pau.
The Fijian international was yellow carded in the first half, with the incident then occurring as he left the field.
The supporter in question allegedly imitated a monkey, with Nagusa discussing the incident on Twitter.
Footage has been requested by Montpellier to identify the supporter.
