Newport Gwent Dragon's squad update ahead of new season

As the new Pro12 season starts this weekend, the Dragons medical staff have today issued the following update on injuries:

Centre Ross Wardle, who sustained a knee injury during the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens tournament, will undergo surgery on his knee next week.

Lloyd Lewis sustained an injury during the Fosters 7s competition whilst playing for Cross Keys. He will see a specialist to determine the extent of his injury.

Adam Hughes is currently undergoing to the return to play protocol after suffering a head injury against Cardiff Blues.

Tom Prydie, Ashton Hewitt, Phil Price and Dorian Jones are all currently on track and are making good progress. They are all on schedule to return to play during the month of September.


The Men of Gwent are preparing for their first seasonal run out against Ulster Rugby on Friday 2nd September, at the Kingspan Stadium.
