Nigel Owens to referee Champions Cup Final

Nigel Owens has been confirmed as the referee for the Champions Cup final between Saracens and Clermont in BT Murrayfield next weekend.

The fixture will be Owens' 100th tournament match when he takes charge.

Ireland's John Lacey has beena appointed to referee the Challenge Cup decider between Gloucester and Stade Francais on Friday 12th May in the same venue.

The referee appointments were announced today by EPCR’s selection committee which is chaired by the tournament organiser’s Head of Match Officials, Joel Jutge.

Owens will take charge of the final for the third time in a row, his assistant referees in Edinburgh will be Ireland’s George Clancy and Ian Davies of Wales.
