Northampton Chances Of Playoff Spot

Northampton Saints remain in contention for a place in the Premiership playoffs after a comfortable 17-31 win over Newcastle Falcons.

Two rounds remain for Chris Boyd and his coaching staff to ensure their passage to the knockout stage of the competition. A hat-trick from Tom Collins against the Falcons provided Saints with a comfortable lead at half time. While the second period was a close battle, Northampton ended the game the easy winners and seem to be peaking at the right time come the business end of the campaign.

They face Worcester at home next weekend at Franklin's Gardens, a game that they should win en route to a final round match up away to Sandy Park, for a potential top four spot.
