NRC home to high-scoring action

After three rounds of the inaugural Buildcorp National Rugby Championship, rugby fans have been treated to a plethora of tries – with 104 scored in the first 12 matches.

Combining the best suburban and Super Rugby talent, NSW’s four newly-formed teams have embraced the state team’s passion for ball in hand, attacking rugby.

  The addition of new rules in the NRC has created an atmosphere of exciting ball-in-hand tactics, encouraging running rugby and rewarding ambition in attack, with converted tries worth eight points, and penalties devalued to two.
