Obituary: John Pullin

John Pullin, who has died aged 79, had an outstanding career for England and the British and Irish Lions, but he will always be remembered for the opening line of a speech he made as the losing England captain after a Five Nations match against Ireland in Dublin on February 10, 1973: "We may not be very good, but at least we turned up."
