On This Day: All Blacks perform Haka in dressing room
On the 25th of November 2005, the mighty All Blacks took on Wales at the Millennium Stadium in the last of their November International and before kick off even took place tensions began to arise.
A disagreement between the NZRU & WRU about the timing of the haka between the national anthem lead to a disagreement and the Kiwis refused to perform their famous war dance on the pitch before the game but instead opted to perform it behind closed doors in the dressing rooms.
This was the start of the debate about the haka and whether it was an essential pre match feat but ultimately the great spectacle still takes place today.
