Payne on Ireland's evolving game plan

Jared Payne has revealed that Ireland are yet to decide on a definite game-plan for the entire World Cup, changing their tactics game by game.

“We’ve always said we're a week-by-week team and we tailor our game plan around the opposition we're facing,” he said.

"When we come up against certain teams it might be bit more kicking and if we come up against other teams it might be a bit more running.

"So we’ll wait and see who we play and if were lucky enough to get out of our pool we’ll go from there.”

Payne also added that Ireland will keep a close eye on Romania centre Paula Kinikinilau when they meet this weekend.

“They’ve got a centre in there, Paula Kinikinilau, who’s pretty dangerous with the ball, so we’re going to have to shut him down."
