Piutau, Fekitoa and Folau start for Tonga on their return to test rugby

Former Wallaby outside back Israel Folau will make his test return when he plays for Tonga against Fiji in the Pacific Nations Cup on Saturday.

The 33-year-old, a fundamentalist Christian, won 73 caps for the Wallabies before he had his contract terminated in 2019 after posting a homophobic tweet.

A change in World Rugby's laws around international eligibility last year has allowed him to switch allegiance to Tonga.

He has been named on the right wing for Tonga's Pacific Nations Cup opener against Fiji.

Former All Black Charles Piutau also makes his return to test rugby and starts at fullback with Malakai Fekioa also making his debut in the centres.

There are further debuts for Anzelo Tui'itavuki and William Havili in the backline.

Tane Takulua captains the side at scrumhalf.
