Ben Youngs
The Leicester Tigers scrum-half was absolutely phenomenal this afternoon as his side secured a crucial victory against Gloucester in the Aviva Premiership. As always, his passing and box kicking were very accurate and that accuracy created an excellent attacking platform for him and his teammates. He also showed brilliant awareness and an impressive turn of pace to get over the whitewash twice, scoring two vital tries for his side. A definite contender for the man of the match award.
Israel Folau
Yet again, the Wallaby full back was sensational in this morning's Rugby Championship clash with Argentina. He posed a constant threat with ball in hand, making 5 clean breaks for a total of 114 metres. He scored two excellent tries and played a pivotal role in everything that was good about Australia's attacking performance. He was also a rock in defence, posting an impressive tackle success rate of 100%. He was impeccable under the high ball and his kicking out of hand was accurate and intelligent.
Rieko Ioane
Ioane proved to be a constant thorn in South Africa's side, with the Springboks failing to come up with a solution to the winger's blistering lines. The young All Black made 4 clean line breaks, totaling a gain of 181 metres in the process. Ioane and Smith linked up superbly for the winger's try, with his blistering pace on full display as he chased the scrum half's kick in the corner. While he didn't have much to do in defense, when he was called upon Rieko didn't put a foot wrong, maintaining a 100% tackle success.
Aaron Smith
Aaron Smith was seen pulling the strings and setting the tempo of the entire fixture as he operated from scrum half. Smith provided the spark that New Zealand needed early on to get going and to get their first try on the board. The scrum half's moment of magic from the quick tap penalty and kick in behind for Ioane to chase really set the tone for the entire encounter. While he was replaced by Perenara at the 60 minute mark, Smith made 47 passes and played an extremely crucial part in his side's victory.
