Polledri out for remainder of Autumn Nations Cup

Gloucester and Italian wrecking ball back-rower Jake Polledri has been ruled out of the remainder of the Autumn Nations Cup after injuring his knee against Scotland on the weekend.

The incident occurred during 67th minute of the match when Polledri and the Italians were defending their line against the attacking Scots. Polledri dived for a tackle and had his knee plant in the turf and seemed to be in immediate pain.

Despite his side’s 28-17 loss, Polledri gave good account of himself – a stand-out player amongst the forwards.

It has been reported that he has indeed sustained ligament damage which could see him out of action for a number of months.
