Worcester Warriors ran out 40-27 home winners over Saracens in the penultimate round of the Premiership. Worcester got off to the perfect start with an early try, but Saracens hit back with a score to make it 7-7. Worcester responded with another try, but Saracens scored from the restart to again level matters at 14-14. Worcester were then awarded a penalty try, with Saracens picking up a yellow card in the process to go down to 14 players. The Warriors took advantage of their numerical advantage with a fourth score to extend their lead out to 28-14. Saracens would cross for a try with the final play of the first half to trail 28-19 the break after a try fest of an opening half. Saracens picked up their second yellow card of the match 6 minutes into the second half, but this time Worcester could not make their extra man count. Saracens finally opened the second half points tally with a penalty with 15 minutes remaining to make it a one score ball game at 28-22. Shortly after Worcester were in for their fifth try to push the lead out to 13 points at 35-22. Worcester sealed the match with a sixth try with just two minutes to play, with Saracens crossing for their bonus point try with the final play of the game.
