Premiership highlights - Gloucester v Harlequins
Harlequins took their opportunities to claim a 28-15 away win over Gloucester to bring round 20 of the Premiership to a close. Poor discipline inside the opening ten minutes from Gloucester saw Harlequins keep the scoreboard ticking over with three penalties to open up a 9-0 lead. Gloucester then got on the board with a penalty, but a Quins try shortly after saw the visitors up 16-3. Quins then picked up a yellow card, but despite some intense pressure near their own line, managed to keep the Cherry and Whites out with some superb defence and crucial turnovers with Gloucster butchering a couple of tries in the process. An intercept try from the Harlequins skipper from inside his own half saw them take a comfortable 21-3 advantage into the halftime break. Gloucester needed a response in the second half and a try just five minutes in saw the deficit reduced to 21-10. Another Quins intercept from near their own 22 saw the visitors deliver a killer blow as they raced in for their third try to restore the 18 point margin with a little under 20 minutes to play. Gloucester hit back with a second try of their own to offer a glimmer of hope, but it would prove a consolation score as Harlequins secured a top 8 spot in the Premiership with two rounds to play.
