Premiership Highlights: Bath Rugby v Sale Sharks

An immense finish as Bath nipped in with a late try from Mercer followed by a conversion from Wilson to win by 1 point at the Rec. There was very little to separate the teams from the get-go today as both teams put everything into the game. Wilson got Bath on the scoreboard early on with two quick penalties in the first 5 minutes. Solomona got his first of the night after 13 minutes followed by another from Yarde, the other Sale winger, moments later. Mercer got over for one five minutes before halftime with Wilson adding the extras to bring the HT score to 16-18 in favour of the visitors.
Bayliss got the second half scoring off to a start. Each kicker then had two successful cracks at goal bringing the score up to 26-27 after 60 minutes. Denny Solomona got over for his second of the day on the 70-minute mark but Sales efforts weren't enough to keep the determined Bath side out at the end of the day.
