Premiership Highlights: Harlequins vs Sale Sharks
- 633
After a 159 day absence the Premiership returned with Harlequins edging out the Sale Sharks 16-10 in round 14. Poor first half discipline from Sale allowed Harlequins to keep the scoreboard ticking over as they slotted three penalties to take a 9-0 lead into halftime. Sale had two first half shots at goal, but both, including a sitter just before the break, went wide to see the visitors scoreless after the opening forty. Sale started the second half brightly and crossed for the games opening try five minutes in to reduce the deficit to just two points. Sale were then reduced to 14 players after picking up a yellow card and Harlequins capitalised on their numerical advantage immediately with their first try to restore their nine point advantage at 16-7 heading into the final quarter. A Sale penalty with ten minutes to play made it a six point ball game, but Harlequins were able to grind out the remaining time to secure the home victory in the Premiership return.
