Yet another loss was posted next to Agen as they fell to Grenoble 17-13 in the first game of Round 3. As the score line suggests, it was a tight affair with each side managing only one try while Agen’s discipline let them down, letting Grenoble slot four penalties to put them ahead. 

 


Oyonnax were their own worst enemies as they fell to Nevers 21-18 after the former gave away 7 penalities on which the capitalised hungrily to notch up their total. Oyonnax crossed the white-wash twice and showed impressive defence but the boot of Nevers’ Shaun Reynolds proved the final nail in Oyonnax’s coffin. 

 

Bourg-en-Bresse and Rouen played to a 20-all draw at Stade Marcel Verchère . The home side posted two tries to Rouen’s one although the latter fed off a number of penalties. 


 

Colomiers dominated Aurillac 27-0 on the former’s home turf. Colomiers ran in three converted tries and slotted a brace of penalties while putting on a determined defence of their own try line. 


 

A tough, gritty encounter transpired between Narbonne and Montauban at Parc des Sports Et de l'Amitié. The final whistle blew with the score at 11-9 to the visitors. 

 

Mont-de-Marsan stole the show against Carcassonne, 26-22, in a tough battle at Stade Albert Domec. 

 

A great contest played out between Beziers and Provence at  Stade Raoul-Barrière. It came down to just one point as Provence triumphed 25-24 after out-scoring Beziers by three tries to two. 

 

Another victory for the away side as Bayonne to the honours against Vannes, 26-18. The margin meant that Vannes took no points from the fixture. Each side managed a brace of tries.
