PSA credits France's 'proper pre-season'
France head coach Philippe Saint-André has credited the fact that his squad have been through their first “proper pre-season” as a big factor behind their win over England.

Les Bleus were by far the better side in Paris, with Frédéric Michalak scoring 17 points and Yoann Huget producing a special solo try.

Saint-André was understandably buoyant after one of the best performances from France during his time in charge over the last four years.

“This is our first proper pre-season together and you can see that these guys are proper competitors,” said Saint-André.

“The improvement has been huge. Our confidence is high and our spirit is good.

"Remember though, this is but one match. The tournament has not started yet.”
