Pumas Drop Lavanini

Pumas Drop Lavanini

Argentina lock Tomas Lavanini's has been dropped from the Pumas squad for their Australasian tour after he received a red card against South Africa last week.

The 24-year-old was sent off after being yellow carded twice in his side's 41-23 loss to South Africa in Salta last weekend.

And although he received no further sanction from SANZAAR's Foul Play Review Committee, Pumas head coach Daniel Hourcade has left him out of his 29-man squad to take on the All Blacks in New Plymouth on 9 September and the Wallabies in Perth on 16 September.

Another notable absentee from Hourcade's squad is back-row Leonardo Senatore who missed the Pumas' clash against South Africa after sustaining an injury in the corresponding fixture with the Springboks in Port Elizabeth the previous weekend.

There are five new players in the squad – wingers Santiago Cordero and Manuel Montero, fly-half Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias, and loose forwards Benjamin Macome and Rodriogo Baez.
