Quartet ink new deals with London Irish

Sebastian De Chaves, Dave Porecki and Ollie Hoskins have all extended their contracts with London Irish.

De Chaves, 27, joined the Exiles from Leicester Tigers ahead of the 2016/17 season and played a key role in helping Irish make an immediate return to the Premiership.

Winner of the Players’ Player of the Season award at the end of last term, the abrasive South African has taken his game to new heights under the guidance of director of rugby Nick Kennedy.

Scoring four tries in 30 appearances for Irish, the former Springbok Under-20 international is impressed with the long-term ambition of the club.

Australian prop, Hoskins, has been in fine form of late and was a try scorer against Gloucester in the Anglo-Welsh Cup on Saturday.

Having made the move to Irish from Western Force ahead of the 2016/17 season, the 24-year-old English qualified front row has made 32 appearances for the Exiles.

Porecki, 25, joined Irish from Saracens ahead of the 2016/17 season and made an immediate impression by helping the club gain promotion back to the big time at the first time of asking.

As well as his experience with perennial trophy hunters Saracens, Porecki enjoyed a spell with Super Rugby outfit New South Wales Waratahs earlier in his career.

Bringing considerable experience to the Exiles’ pack, Porecki competes with David Paice, Saia Fainga’a Tom Woolstencroft and Todd Gleave for a starting berth.

London Irish academy graduate and last season’s Young Player of the Season award winner, Harry Elrington, has extended his contract with the club.

Elrington, 23, rose to prominence during the Exiles’ promotion winning campaign to underline his bourgeoning credentials.

Rubbing shoulders with double World Cup winning prop Ben Franks, Elrington has significantly improved his game under the watch of the former All Black.
