Raka and Penaud re-sign at Clermont

Clermont have today confirmed that 22-year-old Alivereti Raka and 21-year-old Damian Penaud have re-signed for at least 4 seasons with the club.

"Damian and Alivereti have gradually integrated the professional group while continuing the round trips with our Academy," said Franck Azéma,  director of Rugby at ASM Clermont Auvergne.

"They have taken on a new dimension and have reached a milestone thanks to the work of all and their involvement. Today, they are full members of our group and their influence will only grow."

Raka was born in Naitasiri, Fiji, and joined the ASM Clermont academy in November 2014 as part of a memorandum between Nadroga Rugby and ASM Clermont.

Son of former France international Alain Penaud, Damian started his professional career with Clermont when he joined the Academy side in 2014.

He was named in the France national squad for the three-match series against South Africa in June 2017.
