Ryan Bevington signs two-year deal at Dragons

Loosehead Ryan Bevington has penned a two-year deal to return to Wales and join the Dragons after two seasons with Bristol Rugby.

Ryan played for Porthcawl, Bridgend and Aberavon before joining the Ospreys and by returning to Wales he will link up with former team mates Richard Hibbard and Gavin Henson at the Dragons.

"Ryan has been a consistent performer during his career both during his time with the Ospreys and with Bristol, so we’re looking forward to having him join the Dragons,” said Head Coach Bernard Jackman.

"His experience on both sides of the bridge, plus with Wales is a valuable asset for any team and he’ll add more quality for us at loosehead. He’s overcome his knee injuries and we think we’re signing him at the right time as front row players reach their prime in their thirties.”

Capped 13-times for Wales, the 29-year-old started his career with the Ospreys, amassing over 100 appearances for the Liberty Stadium based region, before crossing the Severn Bridge to play his rugby at Ashton Gate.
