Ryan Wilson ruled out of the Six Nations

Ryan Wilson has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2019 Six Nations due to a knee ligament injury he sustained in Saturday's 22-13 loss to Ireland at Murrayfield.

The Glasgow co-captain adds to an already lengthy list of injuries in the Scotland back-row, with the likes of Hamish Watson, John Barclay, David Denton, Blade Thomson, Magnus Bradbury, Cornell Du Preez and Luke Hamilton injured before the championships, while John Hardie was unavailable to face the Irish on account of having picked up a knock in camp.

Centre Huw Jones and full-back Stuart Hogg also picked up knee and shoulder injuries respectively.

Both remain part of Gregor Townsend's squad and will be assessed by a specialist this week before the trip to France on 23 February
