Townsend can't wait for Naiyaravoro to arrive: Glasgow Warriors boss Gregor Townsend is eager to get Taqele Naiyaravoro on the field as soon as possible.

The Australia international is currently in the process of having his visa cleared in order to then head to Scotland.

"We are still waiting for the visa process to be started," Townsend told The Scotsman.

"He's now back in Australia after being out in the States with the Australia squad but he's come back early to speed up the visa process now he is no longer with the Australia squad.

"These things can take two or three weeks. I'm hoping for less. We have a game in three weeks against Munster and it would be great news if we could have him for that.

"Then the next game is a fortnight after so if not Munster then we'd like to think he'd be here for that one.”

PSA wants public to rally round his side: Philippe Saint-André has called on France to rally around his squad ahead of the start of the Rugby World Cup.

Saint-André’s time in charge has been far from smooth but les Bleus have shown some signs of progress this year.

"For three and a half years it's been tough and complicated," Saint-André told Reuters.

"I knew it would be and I accepted it. For three and a half years I donned the bullet-proof vest and I'm still here.

"What I really need now though is that all rugby lovers rally to the cause.

"We're going to England. The English invented the game and this is going to be a hyper-mediatised World Cup with jam-packed stadiums.”
