Saturday Super Rugby Top Performers

We take a look at the top performers from the last day of the regular Super Rugby season.

Reece Hodge

The Rebels flyhalf was brilliant against the Highlanders despite not being able to get his side over the line.

He scored three tries and converted all of his attempts at goal racking up 29 points.

Two of his tries were scored by charge downs with the third coming from some great hands by his fellow backs.

Waisake Naholo

The All Black winger was in fine form against the Rebels making 129 running metres from his two clean breaks and beat 6 defenders.

It wasn't all out attack for Naholo with his work in the air helping his side deal with Ruru's difficult box kicks while he also put in a crucial tackle on Jack Maddocks in the final play of the game when the Rebels looked to score a match-winning try.

Teihorangi Walden

The Highlanders centre made 16 tackles for his side missing just one throughout the 80 minutes.

He kept Billy Meakes and Amanaki Mafi relatively quiet throughout the game and run great support lines on attack.

He was rewarded with a try and assisted another. 

Special mentions for Matt Faddes and Joshua McKay who made both made a huge impact in the final knockings of the game.

George Bridge

Bridge had another outstanding game for the Crusaders as they secured an emphatic win over the Blues.

The Speedster is the second player on our list with the Saders man finishing off three great attacks for his side.

He ran great support lines and gained 121 runnning metres beating 4 defenders and was credited with a try assist.

He made a number of try-saving tackles at times when the Blues could have fought their way back into the game.

Seta Tamanivalu 

Tamanivalu was brilliant on the wing and at centre for the Crusaders.

He was involved in most of his side's tries and even scored one for himself.

He made 98 running metres beating 7 defenders and made 2 clean breaks.

Special mention to the remainder of the Crusaders backline who all fantastic against the Blues.

Kyle Godwin

Godwin finished off his Brumbies career in style with a fantastic victory over the Waratahs.

The playmaker made 85 runnining metres beating 3 defenders and scored a fantastic solo try.

Rory Arnold

Another strong performance by the big man for a second week in a row.

He made 11 carries and 18 tackles against the Waratahs.

He locked down with his twin brother for the first time and the pair both had strong games as the Brumbies upset the Waratahs.

Tevita Kuridrani

The Brumbies centre furthered his claim to replace Samu Kerevi in the Wallabies jersey.

He made 17 tackles missing just one in the 80 minutes. He made 75 running meteres beating 5 defenders and set up the Brumbies final try of the game with a well-weighted kick.
