Sex assault accused Mils Muliaina returns to Irish club

Former All Black Mils Muliaina has returned to his Irish rugby club after being arrested for an alleged sexual assault.

The 34-year-old was arrested after a game at Gloucester's Kingsholm Stadium last week and taken to Cardiff Bay Police station.

Muliaina's Irish club, Connacht, today released a statement confirming the fullback's return to the republic.

"Muliaina returned to Galway on Sunday April 5th having cooperated fully with police investigations.

He denies any wrong doing and will meet with Connacht Rugby officials in the coming days to review the situation internally.
