Six Nations 2015: England win against Ireland can set up Grand Slam
It was not contrived, I promise you.
As I set about comparing the Ireland and England teams head‑to-head, giving each player a mark out of 10, I did so and then added them all up.
The scores were equal.
Of course, it is only a matter of opinion and every score will doubtless provoke heated debate, but it does tell the story surely.
I am not one who likes acquiring splinters while sitting on the fence, but this is one match that I find impossible to call.
Before the tournament it was relatively simple.
Ireland’s autumn campaign clearly made them the outstanding side in the north…
