Son of Wallabies great joins UC Vikings for 2016 NRC

Alex Horan, the son of Wallabies great Tim Horan, has binded himself with the University of Canberra Vikings for the 2016 National Rugby Championship.

Director of Rugby, Dan McKellar, said the 19-year old has joined the UC Vikings, hoping to push his claims for higher honours.

“Alex has been one of Brisbane Club Rugby’s premier point scorers in the Colts competition for the past two seasons,” McKellar said.

“Obviously carrying the Horan name into any Rugby match would seem daunting, but he has developed his own style of game which is very different to his dads."

Alex was a member of the University of Queensland Red Heavies Colts side in 2016 which finished fourth in the Brisbane Premier Colts competition.
