Sunday Wrap-Up
Scotland 29-18 France

Scotland claimed their second win in the 6 Nations with a 3 try victory over France.

A first win in 10 years for Vern Cotter's side over France and hugely deserved. Stuart Hogg, Duncan Taylor and Tim Visser the try scorers for Scotland.

France started the game the better of the two and were awarded for their early pressure when captain Guilhelm Guirado finished off a good team move.

Scotland came back into the game when Greig Laidlaw knocked over 2 penalties in the opening 20 and furthered their lead after some sharp feet from Stuart Hogg put the Scots into an 11-6 lead.

3 minutes later Scotland raced further in front after some quick thinking from Saracens centre Duncan Taylor, 60 metres out he took a quick tap penalty and raced to the line to get Scotland's 2nd try.

France hit back through Wesley Fofana before the break to make the score at half time 18-12.

The opening 20 minutes of the second half gave us a cagey encounter, Hogg added a long range penalty to make it 21-12 but 2 penalties in 5 minutes for Maxime Machenaud reduced Scotland's lead to just 3 with 20 to go.

The game was put beyond reach of France though after a superb offload from Hoog found Tim Visser out wide who dived over in the corner to put his side 26-18 up with 13 minutes to go. Laidlaw added a 3rd penalty of the day with 5 minutes to go to seal the win for Scotland.

Scotland's win meant that England were confirmed as 6 Nations champions and claim their first title since 2011.

Lots of pluses for Scotland's, so much for Guy Noves to work on with France.

Leinster Senior Schools Cup Final

Belvedere College 31-7 Cisterian College Roscrea

Belvedere College produced a masterclass at the RDS as they claimed the 2016 Leinster Senior Cup.

Revenge for Belvo who lost out last year to Roscrea, 5 tries were scored with Hugh O'Sullivan, Max Kearney, Peter Maher and 2 from winger James McKeown who was a constant threat all day.

Roscrea added a consolation try through Jack Culligan late on but the game was long gone by then.
