Brumbies got first blood for the match and looked to be the dominant team in the first ten minutes of the match. The Reds then took control for the remainder of the first half and even went ten points ahead before halftime. The Brumbies then hit back soon after the break and started to create a scare for the Reds before taking over them in the 67th minute. The Brumbies had the upper hand for majority of the second half but the Reds made a brilliant effort at the end in scoring a try and getting back to try get the win. They were unfortunate to knock the ball on after the hooter and it ended there. The Brumbies will be happy with the win but disappointed with how it came, they will go onto the top of the logs with the Reds at least getting a defensive bonus point! Final score for the Brumbies, 27-24!
