Both sides came into this game lying rock bottom of the South African conference. However because of the nature of this conference, a victory for both sides would secure a playoff spot with two games left. And it was the home side that managed a victory this evening. 41 - 22 was the final score as the ebbs and flows of this evening kept swaying from side to side. In the end it was the Lions who managed to secure themselves the victory and will give them much needed confidence heading into the final rounds of the Super Rugby season.
