SuperRugby Round 3: Jaguares vs Hurricanes

The Hurricanes ran riot in Buenos Aires and fully deserved their 9-34 victory as they clashed with the Jaguares. An early score from Ben Lam gave the visitors a 7-0 lead while a superb and powerful carry from Laumape doubled the lead inside 25 minutes. The hosts responded through the boot of Sanchez which brought the score to 6-12 at the interval. The Hurricanes started the second half with great intent and Matt Proctor's try after an outrageous run from Julian Savea more or less cemented the win for the New Zealanders. Prop Ben May was sent to the sin bin for a tackle off the ball but that was not enough to stop the Hurricanes momentum and the visitors scored again with a bulldozing carry from Vince Aso. Blade Thompson displayed a really unique skill set showing great pace and handling to cross as the clock hit 80. FT Jaguares 9 Hurricanes 34 - Special mention to Julian Savea who looked razor sharp and put his hands up for a call-up to the next All Black squad.
