France head coach Fabien Galthié has released 14 players from the France squad ahead of their clash with Scotland in Edinburgh on Sunday.
Teddy Thomas is one of the biggest names to be let go after he started all of France's opening three games of the competition. The return to fitness of Damian Penaud sees Thomas head back to Racing 92 with the former likely to start on the wing in his place.
Lucas Tauzin impressed for Toulouse against Racing 92 three weeks ago, earning him a call up to the squad but he returns to his club this weekend along with loose forward Selevasio Tolofua and prop Clement Castets.
William Ducut was also called in for cover but has not been retained in the squad either has Castres pair Anthony Jelonch and Baptiste Delaporte.
