Telusa Veainu commits to Leicester Tigers

Leicester Tigers confirmed yet another re-signing, with Telusa Veainu agreeing a contract extension at the club.

Tonga international Veainu has been in eye-catching form this season, scoring five tries in eight appearances for Tigers, in his third year with the club.

Tigers head coach Matt O’Connor said: “Telusa has been in outstanding form and is a key player for us. He’s a popular guy in the squad, he works very hard and he is still improving as a player.

“We have some top-class players in our backline and Telusa is central to that.”

Following playing spells in New Zealand and Australia, Veainu joined Tigers after playing for Tonga in the 2015 Rugby World Cup and has scored 23 tries in 48 appearances for the club.
