The three flyhalves Racing 92 are targeting to replace Finn Russell

Finn Russell is set to leave Racing 92 after next year's Rugby World Cup with the Scottish international's contract expiring.

Russell joined the Parisian club from the Glasgow Warriors in 2018 and has gone on to play over 78 matches for the club scoring more than 200 points.

The 30-year-old was linked with a move to Japan last year and with his contract now expiring, Racing 92 are planning for his departure.

Stuart Lancaster joins the club at the start of next season and could have one of three world-class pivots at his disposal when he does.

Beauden Barrett

All Black centurion Beauden Barrett is also off contract after the World Cup.

The 31-year-old is reportedly considering his options with a return to Japan and a move to France among his potential destinations.

According to reports in France, Racing 92 are interested in the veteran playmaker, however, it is thought that his wage demands could rule out a move to the club.

Matthieu Jalibert

When the rumours of Beauden Barrett's move to Racing 92 emerged, it was accompanied by reports that Matthieu Jalibert could follow the All Black.

Jalibert is contracted to Bordeaux until 2025 which suggests that Racing 92 would need to compensate the club in order to sign the French international.

The 23-year-old is reportedly eager to leave Bordeaux and reunite with long-time friend Cameron Woki at Racing 92 after the flanker made a swift exit to Paris before the start of the current season.

It is believed that Jalibert would want to sign a five-year deal at Racing 92 but the club are more inclined to offer him a three-year deal.

Dan Biggar

Earlier this month, Northampton Saints announced that Dan Biggar would be leaving the Premiership side at the end of the month.

At the time, Saints boss Phil Dowson explained that the reduction in the Premiership salary cap meant they had to let the flyhalf go:

“It has been well documented that for this season and next, the salary cap for Premiership clubs is lower than it was previously. There is also a reduction in marquee players from two to one, which presents an additional challenge in building a balanced and competitive squad. We have to start putting a longer-term plan for the team in place, so these are all factors we have considered in making this decision." Dowson explained.

Since then Biggar's CV has reportedly done the rounds across the rugby globe and Top 14 clubs Pau, Toulon and Racing 92 have expressed interest in services.

The Rugby Paper report that Racing have move ahead of the other two clubs in the race for his signature.

Biggar would still be eligible for Wales if he did complete a move to France, if he wishes to extend his test career.
