Worcester Lock to Pursue NFL Career

Giant lock Christian Scotland-Williamson has left Worcester Warriors this week as he looks to pursue a career in American Football in the USA.

 
Scotland-Williamson will be heading out to Florida to work with NFL coaches over the next few months, in hope of earning a place on an NFL team roster for the 2018 season. Full story

Warriors sign Anton Bresler from Edinburgh

Warriors have completed the signing of lock Anton Bresler from Edinburgh Rugby with immediate effect.

 
The Namibian-born second row formerly played for the Sharks in South Africa from 2011 to 2014 where he made 42 Super Rugby appearances and 44 matches in the Currie Cup.

 
Bresler then moved to Scotland in 2014 where he has since made 61 appearances for Edinburgh, helping them to the European Challenge Cup final in 2015. Full story

Edinburgh sign Jordan Lay

Edinburgh have signed Samoan international prop Jordan Lay ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated 1872 Cup second leg against Glasgow Warriors.


The 25-year-old loose-head arrives from New Zealand-based outfit the Bay of Plenty Steamers, and joins the club until the end of the season. Full story

Nottingham appoint Fowkes as new head coach


Nottingham Rugby have announced the appointment of current first-team coach Neil Fowkes as the club’s new head coach, from the end of the current season.

Fowkes needs no introduction to the Nottingham faithful, with the locally-born, 37-year-old having been part of the club, both as a player and a coach, since 1987. Full story
