Ian Foster confirms all but one of his coaching team

All Blacks Head Coach Ian Foster has today confirmed the bulk of his All Blacks coaching team.

Foster will be joined by Hurricanes Head Coach John Plumtree, former All Black and Maori All Black and Ireland scrum coach Greg Feek, with former All Black Scott McLeod also continuing in his defence role in the All Blacks coaching team.

Cory Jane lands Super Rugby role as Jason Holland is promoted

Jason Holland has been promoted to Hurricanes head coach after John Plumtree’s elevation to the All Blacks coaching team.

Holland, who has been a successful and widely respected assistant coach at the Hurricanes since 2016, takes over his new role with immediate effect.

Cory Jane has made a successful move into coaching with the Wellington Lions, has joined the management team as defence coach on an initial two-year contract.

Rugby World Cup winner Tendai “the Beast” Mtawarira has signed for Major League Rugby side Old Glory DC for the 2020 MLR season.

Mtawarira heads to Washington DC almost directly off of the ultimate rugby victory, having anchored the front row as the starting loosehead prop for the 2019 Rugby World Cup champion, South Africa.

Kyle Sinckler's chance run-in with Siya Kolisi before the World Cup

In an interview with AFP about the Rugby World Cup Final, a game he has no recollection of, Kyle Sinckler relieved that he had a chance meeting with Springbok captain Siya Kolisi during the summer leading into Japan 2019.

The 26-year-old England and Harlequins tighthead visited Cape Town with his former Harlequins teammate Tim Swiel, when he ran into the Springbok captain.

World Rugby has launched a vote to decide the fan's player of the decade with 16-man shortlist confirmed.

Jonathan Sexton is the only Irishman to make the cut with the All Blacks accounting for seven of the sixteen.

Eddie Jones' future post 2021 unclear

The Rugby Football Union will not rush extend Eddie Jones' contract past its current expiration of 2021.

 

Jones guided England to the World Cup final in November and with his contract up before the next World Cup, RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney told the BBC that any extension "has to work for both sides".
