Tonga name squad for RWC
Tonga Rugby Union President Epi Taione has announced the squad to contest the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.

With a mixture of youth and experience, Tonga are set to take on Georgia, Namibia, Argentina and New Zealand at the tournament.

In a side which sees Pacific Nations Cup debutants Telusa Veainu, Viliami Tahitu’a and Sosefo Ma’ake joining the campaign, there is also the addition of familiar names, including Gloucester duo David Halaifonua and Sione Kalamafoni, along with Samisoni Fisilau, Aleki Lutui, Paula Ngauomo, Will Helu, and Siale Piutau.

One spot has been left open in Tonga’s 31-man squad, prompting speculation that Rugby League star Andrew Fifita will link up with the squad in time for the tournament.

Fifita is looking to cross codes and join a European side after the World Cup, according to The Roar, with Tonga aiming to use him as an inside centre, following in the footsteps of Sonny Bill Williams and Sam Burgess.
