Montpellier earned a bonus point victory at home against a spirited Lyon side. Lyon got off to the best of starts with a Liam Gill try after 3 minutes to go 7-0 up. Montpellier began to assert their dominance and after a missed Steyn penalty, Picamoles went over for a score in the corner. Both teams shipped a yellow card around the half hour mark and Montpellier took advantage of this through Picamoles again. Montpellier pulled away in the second half with a second half hat-trick from Nagusa and a late score from Joe Tomane to secure the bonus point victory.
