An entertaining game here in Bordeaux ended with the hosts coming away with a 20 point win. Bordeaux probably deserved their win with standout performances from Madigan, Serin and Goujon. Serin set up a couple of tries and Madigan scored a total of 16 ponts from the boot in the game.

Bayonne were impressive at times in the first half and were well in the game at half-time.

Poor discipline probably letthem down in the end with Ian Madigan punishing them with his sharp goal-kicking. They pulled one try back at the end to make the score more respectable.
