Top 3 Performers of the Day

Stuart Hogg – Glasgow Warriors

A masterful display today from Stuart Hogg who started off his season in the perfect fashion, with a man of the match performance. He caused the Connacht defence problems from start to finish with his blistering pace and mesmerising footwork. His brilliant finish for his try was the icing on the cake in what was an exemplary full back performance today.

Geoffrey Dooumayrou – Stade Francais

The 26-year-old outside centre put in an incredible individual performance tonight. Time and time again he left the Clermont defence for dead with his spectacular footwork and incredible pace. He got on the score sheet twice with two excellent tries but he was a key player in almost every attack Stade attempted and was thoroughly deserving of the man of the match award.

George Ford – Bath

George Ford scored all 18 points in baths victory over Northampton today. He recorded 100% kicking accuracy and even managed to score two drop goals. The young man led by example and carried his team throughout the game. He was able to take advantage of some poor discipline by Northampton and that was what proved to be the difference on the scoreboard in this game. A well deserved man of the match award for George Ford.
