All Black prop Nepo Laulala had a fantastic game today and was definitely one of the standout players on the field today. He played 58 minutes today but was impressive come scrum time. He had also had seven carries in the match and managed to win a crucial turnover.
Another New Zealand forward that impressed was Blues backrower Akira Ioane. The 25-year-old played on the flank and was busy around the park. He carried the ball on nine occasions, gained 31 metres, made seven tackles and produced two great turnovers in Newcastle.
Although on the losing side today, Argentina star Marcos Kremer had a big performance tonight! The 23-year-old made the most tackles of the game with 15 and carried the ball on four occasions.
Special Mention: Will Jordan played 16 minutes today and scored a double for his country. He made 125 metres with ball in hand and had three clean breaks.
