Cooper exits Toulon 

Toulon fly-half Quade Cooper has confirmed he is leaving the club in a message to supporters today. 

Cooper thanked his “brothers and the family I now have in Toulon who I will miss.” 

The 28-year-old joined the three-time European champions last year and is now expected to return to Australia.

Lions rest entire team 


The Lions have picked a young and inexperienced team to travel to Argentina for Saturday's clash with the Jaguares in Buenos Aires. 

"This is a great opportunity for our whole group to experience and express themselves at Super Rugby level and to make sure everybody is prepared at the highest level," said Lions head coach Johan Ackermann. 

Robinson calls retirement 

Former Wales international fly-half Nicky Robinson has announced his retirement from rugby, the back confirmed on social media today. 

The 34-year-old, who in his time has played for Cardiff Blues, Gloucester, Wasps, Bristol and Oyonnax, calls time on an impressive 15-year career.

Harris' season comes to an end 

Mike Harris has played his last game for the Rebels after the Australian side confirmed he will miss this Friday's game against the Reds. 

A hamstring injury sees the full-back ruled out of the Brisbane clash.

Latu setback for Newcastle 

Newcastle Falcons will be without Tonga captain Nili Latu for the first three months of the new Premiership season after the back-row forward underwent a knee operation.

Meakes joins the Force 

The Western Force have announced the signing of 25-year-old Gloucester centre Bill Meakes on a two year deal for the 2017-2018 seasons.
