Cheetahs sign 23 player contracts for the next season

New names added to the list are the fly halves Benhard Janse van Rensburg and Louis Fouche and loose forward, Aidon Davis.  Benhard joined the Cheetahs for training on Tuesday while Davis and Fouche will report in Bloemfontein on 1 July 2018Full story

Edinburgh sign Italian international prop Pietro Ceccarelli


Edinburgh Rugby have further strengthened their squad ahead of next season with the signing of Italian international prop Pietro Ceccarelli.

The 11-times capped tighthead – who currently plays for French Top 14 side Oyonnax Rugby – has penned a one-year deal and will join the club in the summer.


Phil Price extends loan deal & puts pen to paper on new contract with Scarlets

Scarlets have today confirmed that loosehead prop Phil Price has signed a contract with the West Wales region.

Price has made six appearances to date in the Scarlets jersey, two in the Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign against Harlequins and Sale Sharks and four in the PRO14.

Nic Groom to leave Northampton Saints with immediate effect

Groom will link up with the Lions in South Africa until 31 October 2018 and is immediately available for selection in Super Rugby, with the Johannesburg-based franchise currently struggling with injuries. Full story

Jersey Reds bolster their squad with four new signings

The Jersey Reds squad for the 2018/19 continues to take shape, with five more players confirmed today.

Current squad player Jason Worrall has clinched a new deal, and will be joined in next season's squad by four new signings: prop Harry Morley, lock/back row Kyle Hatherell, centre/wing Koch Marx and wing Jack Stapley. Full story

Marty Banks trades Benetton for NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes

After one season in the PRO14 with Benetton Rugby, fly-half Marty Banks has confirmed that he will leave the club to join Japanese club NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes. 

Banks has scored 83 points in 14 games since joining the Treviso-based outfit. Full story
